Designed as an educational game to be used in a middle school classroom in order to teach students about the layers of the Earth's surface. Players took control of a ball of magma and used the iPad's accelerometer to guide it from the core to the surface to erupt out of a volcano. Each level represented a different layer of the Earth, progressing from inner core to outer core to mantle and finally to the crust.



Design Highlights:
Created suitable obstacles to represent differences in layers, such as moving obstacles for the fluid mantle
Tweaked level lengths to be representative of the layers of the Earth
